With 20+ years of experience in the biomedical field, Dr. Vionnie Yu is a global leader specialized in developing cell and gene therapies, biologics, and antibody-drug conjugate therapeutics. With deep scientific expertise in stem cell biology, hematology, immuno-oncology, and cancer biology, Dr. Yu has a track record of building innovative programs and high-performing multidisciplinary teams, both locally and globally, from ideation to validation, target selection to IND filing and clinical trial evaluation. She impacted both global conglomerate and small pharmaceutical organizations through strategic leadership, portfolio oversight, culture building, and stakeholder management. She offers versatility and agility in the competitive biopharma space: Able to jump quickly between big picture strategic thinking and deep technical details to integrate creative solutions. Prior to industry, Dr. Vionnie Yu was a Faculty in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. She received her post-doctoral training by Dr. David Scadden, co-founder of the Harvard Stem Cell Institute at Harvard University, and she obtained her PhD degree in Human Genetics at McGill University, Canada. She authored 30+ scientific and medicinal breakthroughs featured in high impact journals including Cell, New England Journal of Medicine, and Nature Biotechnology.
